About the Event
Circle Secrets (just sewing)
Be fearless with curvy alternate gridwork! Students will explore how to create dynamic, vibrant compositions with quarter, half, and whole circles. Students will work on a 24" x 24" project to apply these strategies. I share my best tips and tricks for circular piecing, rectangular fitting components, and construction sequencing. Take home what you learn to unleash your imagination and go off the grid. I provide curved templates and design maps for each student.
Supply List
§ Sewing machine with usual sewing supplies: seam ripper, pins, small fabric scissors, thread, etc…
§ Mini iron & ironing surface
§ Colored pencils
§ Mechanical pencil with eraser
§ Small paper scissors
§ Scotch tape
§ 28mm rotary cutter
§ Personal size cutting mat
§ 8.5" square quilting ruler (this specific size will be very helpful!)
§ Washable school glue stick
§ Solid Fabrics: 8 fat quarters in a variety of colors. Include some lighter and darker colors plus at least 1 neutral. This is more than enough allowing plenty of options.
