Guests are welcome and invited to attend two meetings for free.

We currently meet at Harris County Department of Education on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

If you are a new member, please allow 48 hours for your membership to be processed and up to 30 days for full MQG membership.

“Garden of Gaggles” was made by 35 members of Houston Modern Quilt Guild. The design by @seams.en.pointe explored the theme of a medallion quilt, but within the parameters of a rectangle instead of the traditional square. The quarter square triangle blocks create rows of geese that fly to opposite corners of the quilt. Longarm quilting by @co.op_creative

• A new block is released each month, with a few bonus blocks sprinkled in.

Charity is an important and meaningful part of our guild. Each year we are blown away by the support of our members - whether it’s through piecing charity quilts, longarming them, or assisting with binding and labeling. In 2025 we were able to donate 77 quilts split between @project.linus.official and @day1bags

To thank our members for their charity support, we run a raffle at the end of the year and award prizes (more charity quilts = more raffle tickets)!
